2FPCO TRIBUNE: “WE HAVE A DUTY OF TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY”
CTCO
In this rapidly changing world, the primary mission of the French Federation of Professionals in Communication through Objects ( 2FPCO ) is more than ever to train, inform and promote the ability of the Media Object to be useful in the daily lives of its users, sustainable in its use and responsible in its design, production, distribution, transformation and end of life.
By Antony Villeger, President of 2FPCO and Gérald Paya, Consultant and Trainer with 2FPCO
Cum autem commodis intervallata temporibus convivia longa et noxia coeperint autem commodis intervallata temporibus convivia longa et noxia coeperint autem commodis intervallata temporibus convivia longa et noxia coeperint.

This crisis has revealed who we are, who businesses are, what they do, and what they stand for. It has amplified and exposed disparities, beliefs, and commitments, real or imagined. What will the world look like afterward? No one knows.
We've all read a lot of analysis in recent months about the world after this, particularly about the return to normality, but was the normality we left behind in March 2020 beneficial to our world? We're no longer sure. In any case, there will be no return to normality, because things will inevitably change, and that's probably good news.
SPEAKING CREATES HOMEWORK
It is in this rapidly changing world that the primary mission of the French Federation of Professionals in Communication through Objects ( 2FPCO ) is more than ever to train, inform and promote the capacity of the Media Object to be useful in the daily lives of its users, sustainable in its use and responsible in its design, production, distribution, transformation and end of life.
The public's demand for transparency is leading players in the promotional products market to demonstrate their desire to be more transparent about their practices, by offering increasingly responsible products. These actions, in turn, generate stricter than usual obligations, and their conduct must be exemplary and proven. Speaking out creates duties.
PROTECT BRANDS AND USERS
Faced with this paradigm shift, promotional products professionals have no choice but to bring about a revolution. We have a duty of transparency and responsibility in the face of environmental and societal challenges, and we must respond to them collectively, within the framework of a constructive dialogue with all stakeholders (advertisers, agencies, event professionals, recipients, legislators, etc.), drawing on the strong expertise of 2FPCO / Objet Média.
As sociologist Bruno Latour pointed out: " If we don't take advantage of this incredible situation to change, we'll be irresponsibly wasting this crisis ." And that's why we, the media industry, must protect the brands of the advertisers who trust us, the people who use the products we distribute, and be aware of their impact on the planet.
A SHARING HUB
We are a pioneering federation, having implemented a CSR awareness program that is unprecedented for a professional organization. These tools, made available to 2FPCO members, allow them to understand and anticipate these new requirements, and we have never had so many participants in our CSR mornings and webinars, volunteers to join the programs offered by 2FPCO Training, and this, aimed at all audiences (salespeople, buyers, managers) and the entire Objet Média ecosystem (importers, suppliers, markers, distributors and advertisers).
The 2FPCO is a hub for sharing and co-construction that enables everyone to develop their skills and mobilizes collective intelligence to help our members meet new challenges. As our initiatives expand and multiply, we need additional resources to carry them out.
