Sheedo Studio, a Spanish startup specializing in seeded paper, is committed to the French market and to the planet.
Founded in 2017 by Gala Freixa and Gonzalo Mestre, Sheedo is a company specializing in the creation of seeded paper and eco-friendly goodies. The goal is to "plant the seed of change" and offer eco-friendly alternatives to traditional promotional items.
Ethical production
Committed to its values, Sheedo designs and manufactures its products with zero waste and a circular economy in mind. Indeed, the range's flagship product, seed paper, is handcrafted from cotton scraps from the textile industry. Once used, it is replanted to give back to the earth what has been borrowed from it. Aiming to be a product that respects the soil and its ecosystem, the paper contains neither cellulose nor dyes.
Sheedo extends its social and environmental commitment throughout its production chain. The plantable pencils are assembled in work-based support establishments or services (ESAT) that promote the personal and professional development of people with disabilities. All of its social initiatives and actions enabled Sheedo to obtain B Corporation certification in 2020.
An international perspective
In the space of five years, the manufacturer has established itself as one of the leaders in its sector in Spain. Since then, the startup has helped more than 10,000 companies in their ecological transition towards more responsible communication. Companies such as Google and Too Good To Go have trusted Sheedo for various social media campaigns.
Since 2021, Sheedo has decided to expand internationally, particularly in France, a growing market. To achieve this, the Spanish company has chosen Lyon as its home, a dynamic city that upholds its values through its political and environmental commitment. It is with this in mind that Sheedo prints all its French orders at 106 imprimerie, a Lyon-based printer committed to the environment.
Sheedo wants to assert its position on the French market and subsequently expand into the European market.
